Strategic Consulting

Strategic analysis is inherently complex decision-making under conditions of risk and uncertainty – very challenging terrain.

A 1999 study (Corboy & O’Corrbui) found that nearly 70 percent of strategic plans and strategies are never successfully implemented. Functional Intelligence™ provides a unique approach in ensuring that your strategies succeed.

So…..what’s different about us?

We follow the principle that the majority of strategies fail due to an absence of information. In many instances companies are working with the ’wrong information’, that then sends them down the wrong road, pursuing the wrong options to poorly defined problems.
If a wrong diagnosis is made, you not only treat the wrong issue, you ignore the real problem because you already think that you are on track.   It all ends up as quite a messy, wasteful exercise

Functional Intelligence™ embraces the philosophy that half the solution to any problem lies in defining the problem.
Once the problem has been correctly diagnosed, which Functional Intelligence defines with scientific accuracy, then the strategic measures and related actions to solve the problem address the second half of the solution.
Final result – a fully integrated and focused approach to strategic planning.

Accurate Problem Diagnosis + Effective Intervention = Successful Strategic Planning.

It’s all about waking up to working with crystal clear clarity and not hiding from the power of establishing the absolute naked, unvarnished truth.

We offer the services of both elements required for Successful Strategic Planning:
i. Accurate Problem Diagnosis – using Functional Intelligence™
ii. Effective Intervention – through strategic workshop facilitation.

Either ‘Get Real’ or get ready for a whole lot more of the same.

Just a short note to thank you very, very much for going out of your way to help my son Mathew with his career planning. You have helped him so much; he is so much more confident about himself and his future plans. We both found your assessment to be accurate and hope you continue to help people as you are.

Just a note of thanks for your valued assistance in our recent intervention process. No-one wants to waste time with pointless exercises and when we started with this very necessary strategy session, it was treated with the normal sceptism. However, the introduction of your powerful diagnostic tool in the process brought in a dimension that cut through the ever present hidden agendas and personal issues that undermine successful strategy and team building. Functional Intelligence assisted us to identify the issues, many of which we intuitively knew but could not quantify, it gave us the knowledge on how to deal with these issues and allowed us to align function, person and performance to the benefit of the business. We will be ever grateful for being able to develop and implement an exceedingly effective and successful business plan. Thank you and regards.

Dear Dr Neil, ..WOW!!!.. The assessment was quite gruelling from a concentration point of view and I have to admit that as I was doing it in the office I found the slightest distraction really put me off track! ...BUT, the results are most interesting and ridiculously accurate. ... I am an ex-Physical Education teacher so it was a revelation how I scored in this area. I love the arts but have never followed this as my father did not value it as a career and my old school placed an enormous amount of value on ‘sport’. I also found ‘being out of touch with reality’ most valuable. I absolutely think that this is the tool that is needed in schools world wide. What a difference it would make to a new generation who start the ‘real’ world knowing where they best fit in?? I have spoken about you to a number of peers and they are all keen to know more.
